1. Check to see if your ballast is under warranty. To do this, check the date code on the ballast and make sure that the week it was manufactured does not exceed today's date in the alloted warranty period. The date code can be found stamped on the side of the ballast.

ELECTRONIC BALLASTS:

| • The first 2 digits (09) refer to the year of manufacture. |
| • The second 2 digits (36) refer to the week of manufacture. |
| • The final 2 digits (02) refer to the bill of materials revision number and have no relation to the date of manufacture. |
|
HID BALLASTS:
|
| • The first 2 digits (11) refer to the week of manufacture. |
| • The next 4 digits (2007) refer to the year of manufacture. |
| • The final letter (H) refers to the assembly line used and has no relation to the date of manufacture. |
|
EMERGENCY BALLASTS:
|
| • The first 2 digits (22) refer to the week of manufacture. |
| • The next 2 digits (11) refer to the year of manufacture. |
